Mt. Kannabi
by Chino Yoshio
Mt. Kannabi is a collection of ambient and neoclassical pieces inspired by the quiet surroundings of Kyotanabe, a town in Kyoto where I live.
The album is named after Mt. Kannabi (甘南備山), a sacred mountain believed to be a dwelling place of the gods. It is also said that Kyoto's iconic north-south city grid was aligned using this mountain and Mt. Funaoka.
